Hair

Sphynx cats have a light layer of very fine hairs like a down. They appear to be hairless. Sphynx will have a degree of hairlessness some may have hair on their tail, feet, ears, and face. Some may even develop and light winter coat in cold temperatures.

Feeding

Sphynx cats and kittens have a high metabolism much higher then your typical fur cats. This is due to keeping their temperature up to stay warm. They will eat and I mean eat a LOT. Feeding a high quality food without fillers and artificial coloring is a must. I feed wet food 2x daily and always leave fresh water and dry food out for them at all times.

Grooming

Due to the lack of coat Sphynx cats will require thorough and regular grooming. You will need to take care of the oils that build up on the skin. Ears will also needing grooming on a regular basis to remove oil, wax, and other debris and lets not forget about between the toes and the oils that build up on the toenails. Bathing your Sphynx once a month or once every couple months as not to strip the natural oils from their skin(doing so can become a viscus cycle of over producing oils). You can use unscented baby wipes or pet wipes to wipe down their bodies and clean feet in-between bath time.
